The Troggs – A Legendary British Classic Rock Band

The Troggs are a legendary British classic rock band formed in Andover, Hampshire, England in 1964. They were initially known as the Troglodytes. They are best known for three hits which charted very well in the United States, more specifically the songs Wild Thing, With A Girl Like You, and Love Is All Around. These three songs each sold over one million copies and were awarded gold discs. The song Wild Thing was also mentioned by Rolling Stone magazine and included at number 257 on their list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. In addition, this song was an important influence on the development of two other notable sub-genres of rock music, namely garage rock and punk rock.
