Sugarloaf was a great American classic rock and psychedelic rock band formed in Denver, Colorado back in 1970 (although an early version of the group was known as Chocolate Hair and was formed two years earlier back in 1968). They are very well known for two top 10 hit singles, more specifically Green-Eyed Lady and Don’t Call Us, We’ll Call You. They were centred around frontman Jerry Corbetta who was the band’s singer and keyboardist/organist. Corbetta started out as a drummer at the age of 4 but switched to the keyboards at the age of 7. However, during the 1960s, he went back to the drums while he played in the band Moonrakers (also from Denver, Colorado).

Sugoarloaf were initially musically active between 1970 and 1978. After they broke out, the group briefly re-united in 1985, between 1989 and 1991, and for the last time in 2012. They were signed to Liberty Records, Brut Records, Polydor Records, and Claridge Records. Throughout the 1970s, they released 4 studio albums as follows:

- Spaceship Earth (through Liberty Records; 1971)
- I Got a Song (through Brut Records; 1973)
- Don’t Call Us – We’ll Call You (through Claridge Records; 1975)
Subsequently, two additional albums by Sugarloaf were released (one during the 2000s and the other during the early 2020s), namely:
- Alive in America (through Renaissance; 2006)
- Sugarloaf Live 1975 (through Ray Banger Records; 2022)
They also released 6 singles, more specifically:

On a personal note, I’d like to add the fact that I initially discovered Sugarloaf in my early 20s while listening to various rock bands and their music on YouTube. I must therefore thank the YouTube algorithm for a very good recommendation, that’s for certain!
